Ladakh valley – Remote area with spectacular high- altitude Landscapes is surrounded by the highest mountain ranges. This place truly is away from the western world, untouched and raw. Essence of the place is in the lifestyle and the remoteness of the valley. Ladakh is also known as the land of high passes.
Previously, Ladakh used to be the most important route for central Asian trade. King of Old Tibet used to rule the kingdom of Ladakh. King Sengge Namgyal, during 17th century expanded the territory across spiti and mayumla on the west continuing further to mount Kailash and Mansarovar. He was the famous ruler of that time. People here follows the Tibetan tradition.
Beautiful Mountain ranges of The Himalayan and the Karakorum hides the valley in its lap and enrich the beauty. Altitude range of Ladakh lies in-between (9,000 ft. – 21,170 ft.) with a very thin population of 270,126 people (Census 2001). Sun stroke and frostbite both can be experienced at ladakh at the same time due to the weather of the place. Source of water is only from the melted snow for the people residing here as there is very less rainfall throughout the year.
This is the best place for the trekkers away from the crowd and day-day struggling lifestyle. Beauty and the structure of the valley is inbuilt by nature for the explorers.
Most popular trek of Ladakh is the Markha valley trek. That starts from chilling with crossing of Zanskar River either by Trolly or Jola Bridge. The adventurous trek passing through the several villages of Sham and Markha valley along with the beautiful chortens. Peaks like Stok Kangri, Kang Yatse are astonishing and makes the trek remarkable. Along with the pleasure of sightseeing the beautiful monasteries and the sunshine trek around leh (Capital of ladakh).
Besides getting the mesmerizing view of the breath taking scenarios of the mountains and ranges, you will also have to cross two high passes at the elevations of 17400ft. Eventually during the trek, we will also visit hemis national park. Hemis is the home to the most famous monastery as well. And the netional park have preserved the most endangered snow leopard and precious wildlife’s.

- Day 01: Arrive Delhi. Meet & transfer to group hotel.
- Day 02: Fly Delhi to Leh and drive to group hotel.
- Day 03: Sightseeing around leh – shey – thiksey.
- Day 04: Drive to Siptok and start the trek
- Day 05: Trek starts from Zinchen to Yurutse through Rumback.
- Day 06: Trek from Yurutse following the base of the Ganda La Pass to Skyu.
- Day 07: Trek from Skiu to markha valley
- Day 08: Markha valley – Thachungtse
- Day 09: Thachungtse - Nimaling
- Day 10: Trek starts from Nimaling – Kongmaru la Pass - Sumdo
- Day 11: Sumdo – Hemis.
- Day 12: Trek to Hemis Monastery and drive to Leh.
- Day 13: Fly back to Delhi. Afternoon guided sightseeing tour. Hotel.

Day 01: Arrive Delhi. Meet & transfer to group hotel.
At the arrival to the international airport of Delhi, one of our representative will head you to the hotel. Briefing about the tour and overnight at the hotel of Delhi.
Day 02: Fly Delhi to Leh and drive to group hotel.
After the breakfast, we will take the flight from Delhi to Leh. Leh was the capital of Ladakh. Before starting the trek we need to adjust the temperature of the place with our body.
New limate and new weather might be troublesome sometimes. So, after reaching Leh we will rest entire day and nderstand the further trips.
Day 03: Sightseeing around leh – shey – thiksey.
Leh distrist is full of many beautiful monasteries and gomba’s. During the trip we will visit the palace/ monasteries of leh district i.e.
Shey Monastery: 15 km away from leh, Shey palace and shey Monastery was built in 1655 by King Deldan Namgual in the loving memory of his father. Shakyamuni Buddha’s statue that covers three floors of the monastery and has the height of 39 ft. is the highlight of the palace. It was also regarded as the summer palace. Walls of the monastery is filled with the beautiful paintings and disciplines of Buddha.
Thiksey: Thiksey monastery, another attraction is 19 km away from leh at an altitude of 3600 meters. It is also regarded as the resemblance to the potala palace of Lhasa. Collections of various statues, art pieces, thangkas, swords and wall paintings can be observed at the Thirkey monastery. Major attraction of the place is the 49ft. high statue of Maitreya.
Day 04: Drive to Siptok and start the trek
We will leave early morning to Siptok. It takes 1 hour to travel from leh to siptok. Visit to siptok Monastery situated at an elevation of 3307 meters. It was built around 11th century. Siptuk Monastery has 100 monks and a giant statue of Kali. Gustor festival is celebrated at siptok every year from the 27th – 29th day of eleventh month on the basis of Tibetan calendar.
After visiting the Siptok Monastery we will start the trek crossing from Indus River. We will spend the night in the tented camp near zinchen village.
Day 05: Trek starts from Zinchen to Yurutse through Rumback.
Climb starts from Zinchen towards rumbak. Beautiful and spectacular snowcapped mountains can be witnessed during the walk. It takes about 3 hour’s riverside hike from Zinchen to reach Rumbak. Small village with traditional homes offers homestay facility.
We will trek to Yurutse through Rumbak Village and enjoy the frame of Stok Kangri. It takes 7 hours to reach the stok. It is very important to follow the instruction of guide for the trek. Night at camp.
Day 06: Trek from Yurutse following the base of the Ganda La Pass to Skyu.
At Yurutse, we can see the farming of Potatoes and barley. It takes 6-7 hours of trek to reach Skyu. From the zigzag path, village and mountain sides to the descent walk of Shingo and crossing by the gandala pass trek to Skyu will be tiring and adventurous. Campin at Skyu and spent the night there.
Day 07: Trek from Skiu to markha valley
Hike from skiu to markha valley is very attracting and alluring. Altitude of Markha valley: 3800 m. Our hike is accompanied by the beautiful barren plains and numerous streams. 6 hours of trek and finally we reach the valley of Markha. Camp at the bank of the river.
Day 08: Markha valley – Thachungtse
Markha Valley to Thachungtse completes in 7 hours. Right after the morning breakfast passing through Hanker village travel to Thachungtse. Night at Camp.
Day 09: Thachungtse - Nimaling
Altitude: 4700 M, and on the south is the Kang Yatse – a beautiful mountain that attracts every visitors. On the way falls the chortens and the wall carving with the Buddhist prayers. Time taken to trek from Thachungtse to Nimaling is 4 – 5 hours.
Night stay at camp.
Day 10: Trek starts from Nimaling – Kongmaru la Pass - Sumdo
6-7 hrs trek from Nimaling to Sumdo passes through the narrow George of Kongmaru la pass. From the top, amazng ranges of the ladakh can be easily viewed along with the breath taking views of the indus valley.
Day 11: Sumdo – Hemis.
It takes about 6 -7 hours to walk along the sumdo to Hemis. This is the last day of trek and we will rest after reaching hemis.
Day 12: Trek to Hemis Monastery and drive to Leh.
Hemis: A small village in leh district is very popular for the hemis monastery. It was built in 1672 Ad by King Senge Nampar Gyalva. And the hemis national park is also the home to the endangered snow leopard. Overnight at the hotel of Leh.
Day 13: Fly back to Delhi. Afternoon guided sightseeing tour. Hotel.
Early morning after breakfast, we will take the flight to Delhi. Take lunch and go for sight-seeing around the city and guide for some shopping around Delhi markets (if anybody is interested). Stay the night at the hotel.
Day 14: Flight back Home
Today we will transfer you to the airport for the further flight to home.
