Dhaulagiri region comprises the 7th highest mountain in the world, as well as more than the fifteen 7,000 m peaks. The name of this 7th highest mountain is Dhaulagir, and in Nepali Dhaulagiri means White Mountain. Dhaulagiri trek is a challenging trek.
That’s why; it is the best for the adventurous walkers. The region is inhabited by the Magar people. Dhaulagiri Base Camp offers the magnificent view of the mountains. From the base camp, the trekking trail heads off to the French Pass (5,360m), Tukche Peak (6,920m) and Sita Chuchura (6,611m), the Hidden Valley and the Thapa Pass (5,250m). On a clear day, Dhaulagiri can be even seen from Patna and Gorakhpur of India.
